Care for Sucking Chest Wound:
1. Seal the wound by taping three sides of plastic or foil in place to stop air from entering the chest. 2. If the victim can't breath, remove the cover to let air escape, then reapply. 3. Lay victim on injured side and call 9-1-1. |
Care for Closed Abdominal Injury:
1. Place the victim in a comfortable position with the legs pulled up toward the abdomen. 2. Care for shock. 3. Find Professional Medical care. |
Care for a Protruding Organ:
1. Position the victim so that they are comfortable with their legs pulled up toward the abdomen. 2. Cover protruding organs loosely with a moist, sterile dressing. 3. Care for shock. 4. Call 9-1-1. |
Treatment for Pelvic Fractures:
1. Keep the victim still. 2. Care for shock. 3. Seek medical care. |
